Product Affinity
Affinity scoring tells you how well a product matches your personal style. Think of it as a compatibility check between a product and your Style Graph.
How it works
When you're on a product page, the drawer automatically switches to the Affinity panel. Tap Analyze to score the product against your graph. Costs 1 credit.
Glimmer's AI compares the product's traits (category, silhouette, color, material) against the prototypes and co-occurrence patterns in your Style Graph.
The affinity score
Scores range from 0.0 to 1.0:
| Range | Interpretation |
|---|---|
| 0.0–0.3 | Poor fit — doesn't align with your style |
| 0.3–0.5 | Neutral — some overlap but not a strong match |
| 0.5–0.7 | Good fit — aligns with your established preferences |
| 0.7–1.0 | Exceptional — a strong match across multiple style signals |
Matching and tension signals
Beyond the score, Glimmer explains why:
- Matching signals — Traits where the product aligns with your graph (e.g., "relaxed silhouette matches your preference for oversized fits")
- Tension signals — Traits where the product conflicts with your graph (e.g., "neon colors are outside your usual palette")
Editorial explanation
Each analysis includes a 1–3 paragraph editorial explanation tying the score to your specific style patterns. The tone matches your selected preference (concise, editorial, or playful).
When it appears
The Affinity panel shows up automatically when:
- You're on a product page on a supported store
- Glimmer has detected the product data
If you navigate away from a product page, the drawer switches back to the Style Brief panel.
Caching
Affinity results are cached per product during your session. If you revisit a product you've already analyzed, the cached result loads instantly without spending another credit.

From the Affinity panel, you can also:
